Catalogs:

  • The Library Catalog -  Search the 74 BCCLS libraries for books, audiobooks, videos, CDs, and other library materials. Includes downloadable audiobooks and ebooks.
  • Bergen eAudio Team (BeAT) - Search for audiobook and ebook titles that can be downloaded and played by your computer, as well as transferred to your mp3 player, ebook reader, or smartphone. Please make sure your device is compatible with the format that you choose. Open to Englewood and Englewood Cliffs patrons.
  • DigitalLibraryNJ – Similar to BeAT, but with a smaller collection. Not open to Englewood Cliffs patrons.
  • eBCCLS – A third downloadable book collection. Not open to Englewood Cliffs patrons.
  • JerseyCat – Search participating libraries in the state of New Jersey for books, audiobooks, videos, cds, and other library materials that are not available in Bergen County.

Englewood Public Library databases are accessible in the library or remotely (you will need your Englewood Public Library card number).

  • Corfacts – New Jersey’s premiere business to business directory. Accessible in the library and from home (enter your Englewood library card number).
  • GED Online - An online test preparation tool that offers preparatory lessons and quizzes for those who are planning to take the GED exam. GED Online offers 118 lessons in all the subjects tested on the GED: writing, social studies, science, reading and mathematics. A GED Online username and password are required to access this service. Englewood and Englewood Cliffs residents would would like to use GED Online should call 201-568-2215 ext 227 or email the Reference Department to obtain a GED Online login.
  • Learning Express Job & Career Accelerator - This database, provided through the BTOP initiative, provides personalized, step-by-step assistance for job seekers at all experience and education levels. Its services range from exploring and matching suitable occupations from over 1,000 detailed occupation profiles to retrieving available jobs in our area from a database of over 5 million up-to-date job postings. This database is a great addition to any job search.
  • Mango Languages – Are you looking to learn a new language, or improve your existing foreign language skills? The Englewood Public Library is pleased to offer Mango Languages Online. With 49 languages to choose from, it’s a great way to learn a new language! Mango also offers several English courses for non-native speakers, including Ingles para hispanoparlantes.
  • Salem Health – The Salem Health database provides access to the following award-winning reference works by Salem Press: Magill’s Medical Guide, Salem Health: Cancer, Salem Health: Psychology & Mental Health, and Salem Health: Genetics & Inherited Diseases. The database is continuously updated, and in the coming year more Salem Press health reference titles will be added to it. These online publications include illustrations and sidebars, indexes, appendixes and other back matter. Cross-references in the form of “See Also” boxes link directly to appropriate articles. Key terms, used in the body of articles,  link to a complete “Glossary.” “Further Information” citations are extensive and authoritative. Article citation information is included with every article.   • Salem History - Salem History is a robust online database that includes the complete content of printed reference sets. This database is made up of both series of history reference works and individual reference titles. The database is continuously updated, and in the coming year more Salem Press history reference titles will be added to it. These online publications include illustrations and sidebars, indexes, appendixes and other back matter. Cross-references in the form of “See Also” boxes link directly to appropriate articles. BCCLS databases are accessible in the library and at home (you will need to enter your library card number), and cover a variety of subjects.  These databases are appropriate for people of all ages, and are searchable by periodical or source title.

  • EBSCO – Offers 14 encyclopedic and subject-specific databases with focuses ranging from health, to education, to consumer information. Especially useful for those searches that require the use of peer-reviewed articles.
  • INFORME – Revistas en Español (Magazines in Spanish)
  • INFOTRAC – Offers access to custom newspapers, as well as literary criticism and extensive biographical information.
  • Naxos Music Library - Naxos Music Library [NML] is the world’s largest online classical music library. It offers streaming access to more than 35,000 CDs with more than 500,000 tracks.
    Resources offered by NML include synopses of over 700 operas, a pronunciation guide for composer and artist names and a glossary of musical terms. A comprehensive online encyclopedia of classical music is in development.
  • Naxos Spoken Word Library - The online Naxos Spoken Word Library comprises one of the most comprehensive collections of classic audiobook material available online.
    Naxos AudioBooks is a leading spoken word label, producing some 30 new titles a year and concentrating largely on literary classics and educational themes. The library offers Naxos AudioBooks’ full range of recordings, many of which can also be followed with the texts on screen.
  • PROQUEST – Provides access to the Historical New York Times, with articles, going back to 1851. Also provides articles from other major American newspapers.
  • JerseyClicks – Offers access to reliable information that is not freely available on the Internet. Through JerseyClicks you have access to the complete and authoritative text of thousands of magazines, journals, books and transcripts. JerseyClicks allows the user to search INFOTRAC’s Custom Newspapers, Informé, and Facts on File all at once.
