Donate Items

Wanted!
The library is looking to add to our permanent collection audio books (fiction or nonfiction) or travel books published in 2012 or 2013. Please drop off all items at the Reference Desk on the second floor.

We also welcome older items that you’d like to donate. These items are more likely to be sold during our two yearly book sales, with the proceeds going to help the efforts of the Friends of the Library.

The Friends Support the Library

Our annual fall book sale gives the community an opportunity to hunt for real literary treasures at affordable prices.

Our revenues from book sales, along with donations, will be used to fund additional programs and special items outside the library’s budget.

Member donations and the annual fall book sale have helped us to fund:

Evening lectures featuring distinguished speakers such as FDU Professor Emeritus Benjamin Nelson of Englewood; Dr. Emilie S. Passow, Drexel University College of Arts and Sciences; and noted Englewood author Penny Colman.

Lectures on job-hunting techniques, including rèsumè writing, interviewing, and social networking Web sites.

Concerts featuring the All Seasons Chamber Players and the Calvin Hill Jazz Trio.

Reference works, including Great Events From History, 1971-2000; Encyclopedia of the Underground Railroad; The Oxford Encyclopedia of Women; and the Encyclopedia of Racism.

A set of short films by independent filmmakers to be circulated to the public.

In addition, the Friends funded a renovation of the Mackay Room that included a new paint job.
