RESIDENT
LIBRARY CARDS
Full service library cards are available to all Englewood residents
upon written proof of residency (e.g. utility bill, driver's license,
residential lease). Cards may be used at other Bergen County Cooperative
Library System (BCCLS) libraries. Cards are renewed every three
years by showing proof of current residency. A child may register
for a card whenever a parent or guardian is willing to sign for
responsibility.
Englewood Cliffs Patrons
have access to all Englewood Public Library materials.
However, we are unable to make interlibrary loan requests from
other libraries within the Bergen County Cooperative Library
System, BCCLS. The library will take interlibrary loan requests
for material available outside BCCLS. These requests will be
made through JerseyCat. To make interlibrary loan
requests, please stop by the Reference Desk or requests online
using
JerseyCat.
Privileges
include:

Full
borrowing, with the ability to directly reserve, through staff
or home computers, NYT bestsellers, videos and DVDs and all
library materials. Full borrowing from Englewood and all BCCLS
libraries.

First
access to, or registration for, all Library adult, YA and children's
programs and special events - many are open only to Englewood
Cardholders.

Professional
Reference service at all times, seven (7) days per week.

Interlibrary
loan service - our team of Reference Librarians will locate
and arrange delivery of desired books and articles. We will
use not only the Bergen Libraries database but will search state and nationwide
(a fee per item or applicable media rental may be access by
the lending institution),
if necessary.

Remote
access to the Library Catalog & Databases using your own
home or office computer to look up and reserve items during
hours when the library is closed.
SUBSCRIPTION
CARDS
Non-residents may purchase a one-year family card for $125.
Cardholding family has all privileges of resident cardholders
except that borrowing (and interlibrary loan) from other BCCLS
libraries.
COURTESY
CARDS
Englewood Public Library offers Courtesy Cards for borrowing
Englewood
Public Library materials only. These cards offer no access to inter-library
loan or borrowing from other BCCLS libraries.
The Library will make
available Courtesy Cards to non-residents on the following basis:

One-year,
courtesy cards may be issued to employees of the
Englewood
Public Schools upon presentation
of proof of employment and home address outside the BCCLS
towns or any other of the towns participating in the "Open
Borrowing Program". Cards are renewable
annually upon verification of employment.

One-year,
courtesy cards may be issued to Englewood business owners
upon presentation of proof of Englewood property ownership or
property lease and home address outside the BCCLS towns or any
other of the towns participating in the "Open Borrowing
Program". Cards are renewable annually
upon verification of ownership or lease.

One-year,
courtesy cards may be issued to non-resident students attending
Englewood Public Schools with proof of enrollment, if not residing
in a BCCLS towns or any other of the towns participating in
the "Open Borrowing Program".
PIN(Personal Identification Number)
If you do not yet have a PIN, please ask for one the next time
you visit the Circulation Desk. A PIN enables you to view your
library card account and see items you have checked out or have
on reserve, renew items before they become overdue, cancel requests
and view a list of outstanding fines. To view your library card
account, begin at the

home page, Click on the BCCLS link and then click on YOUR LIBRARY
CARD.
