Getting a library card

Do You Need a Library Card?

Online registration* is now available to all Englewood residents who have never had a BCCLS library card!

To apply for your own Englewood Library card, you must be over the age of 18. You must provide any 2 of the following valid and/or current proofs of your residency, which show your name and your Englewood  address:

  • Driver’s license, non-driver ID, vehicle registration or insurance
  • Bergen County ID
  • Deed, mortgage, lease or rental contract for your current residence
  • Tax, water, PSEG, cable or phone bill
  • Official government mail

Please note that IDs showing P.O. box addresses cannot be accepted.

A parent or legal guardian must provide these proofs for children ages 4 through 17 years old. The adult’s proofs of address must be the same as the child’s address. This adult must sign to be responsible for the child’s account.

If you have any questions please call (201) 568-2215 or click here to apply online*.

*Please be aware that applying online for a library card does not lead to the immediate creation of your library card. Applying online does, however, cut down significantly on waiting time. You will still need to present two forms of identification establishing residence in Englewood before a card can be made.  In addition, any information you provide to us through the  online application will be saved for only one month after it has been submitted.
